Correct, those bands are open for encryption. The issue is range. I have gotten 25miles on reticulum with HAMSTR, using very directional amtrnnas and the highest power rnode I could find. However the speed drops down insanely slow and packets get dropped all the time.
RN is great, but My focus is more on HF bands.
With ham bands, encryption in 90% of countries is illegal. That's completely fine and not an issue with oppressive governments, emergencies, etc ... So I have it all, like zaps using nwc, in HAMSTR over ham bands too.
