What about telling everybody that Monero ring signatures cause supply inflation and all of us recommending it were scammers? That was a pretty big fuck up too.

We've all just watched Liquid get burned because of confidential transactions. Nobody can tell if there is an inflation bug until it's too late. It's necessary for a globally trusted base money to be open and visible to be trustworthy. We need to add privacy in other ways (joins, L2, etc.)
