I think the idea is, that once bots are interacting and paying each other for shit, the actions they will take will be much faster and more frequent than anything humans would do. The settlement time of CC and receiver permissions would make it worse than lightning.

Also I remember like a couple years ago when someone first made a full access AI and let it loose, it completely on its own went out and acquired bitcoin to pay Indians to complete captchas for it.
