Saw a new neurologist recently for chronic headaches. Was prescribed amitriptyline. That went poorly, and I honestly wasn't excited about the prospect of it going well, given the dementia risk. These daily headaches are mostly tension- and pressure-based. There don't seem to be many good options.

The headaches happen nearly every day for most of the day. It's very hard to work. The doctor is now talking about topiramate, which I find horrifying as someone who writes for a living. I'm talking about this here because when I share health stuff, people sometimes have insights, and I'm desperate.
