I bought this bubble-hem skirt some 15y ago, from a maker, possibly in Barcelona (my memory fails me.) I guess the materials are: wool (mix?) painted (can it be acrylic paints?), some velvet mix on sides, light denim on back, striped cotton inside.

Looking for tips and knowledge for handwashing, what not to do? Should I be brave and just do it?
I will also have to do mending on some seams & zipper, that I do know how.
