More surveillance, more censorship, more control. Can't say I'm surprised one bit coming from this shitshow of a government though and they've still got three more years to make us all poorer while encroaching on our freedoms and property rights sadly.

Frankly though, if I've got to trust a third party with my ID in order to use the internet like a grown up I'd much rather take my chances with an established, reputable VPN provider than entrust it to some chickenshit government department run by a bunch of unqualified morons that will almost certainly get hacked in five seconds flat.
