Weirdo personal story:
Long ago I applied for an AAA studio job and the interviewer said he wouldn't even look or consider my indie games as experience because they were irrelevant to how AAA works.
At the time I kind of shook my head at this.
Well now that I know a lot of people in the industry, unfortunately he was "correct". AAA is pretty far removed from how indies do anything (as far as I've seen) that I don't think that experience translates over very well.
