@nprofile1q... I was saying on stream that I get people saying that DS3 doesn't really bring much novelty to the series, and feels just like a more polished DS1. If it wasn't for the DS3 DLCs, I'd have put DS1 first
Though I must admit the map layout of DS1, how every area is so well connected to firelink shrine, is the kind of level design that I truly miss
But yeah, overall DS3 felt like it had more variety with weapons rather than the 2~3 weapons DS1 expected you to use, and I guess I preferred its pace too (also I loved The Ringed City)
