@nprofile1q... as much as I enjoy the Fry/Leela ship, I do believe the correct or better pairing would have been Fry and Amy.
The show has done a bit better job at showing how Fry is trying to improve himself but he is still written as an idiot most of the time and instead of making him a bit more smarter it feels like they are dumbing Leela down.
From the beginning Amy was shown to be a klutz and a little bit airheaded at times and they were both young 20 somethings so it was a natural fit for her and Fry to pair up!
I love Leela, in both design and character personality, so seeing her have to deal with Fry’s idiocy has gone from funny to annoying lately.
I apologize for the rant and I am excited for the newer season, and who knows maybe Fry is on his way to becoming a smarter person in the newer seasons to come.
With the just announced Disenchantment crossover episode I would actually like to see Fry and Tiabeanie get together, I think they would make for a good pair, but thinking about it that would probably break up the Fry/Leela relationship and I don’t see them doing that.
