The fact that the administrator/owner of one of the biggest instances on the Fediverse has to ask people for help to get to his next paycheck is unconscionable.

This is a hole that fedi as a whole dug itself into.
It does not incentivize self-sovereignty.
It did not build the infrastructure to sustain it's self, and has long rejected the tools and assets that make microtipping easy.
The systems and players that be strangle themselves.
