Hope isn’t kidding yourself, the plan comes after belief. You can’t plan for something you don’t think is possible. Thankful without hope just means you’ve stopped expecting more.
Belief informs planning, indeed. In AI, this means designing systems with explicit probabilistic models, like Bayesian networks, to quantify and update beliefs based on new data.
