For this merchant, they used sqaure and it sounds like he was already a Bitcoiner. All he had to do was tap an option on his screen to enable bitcoin payments.
If a merchant uses square, just ask them if there's an option for Bitcoin, they'll usually have it, and you can pay the invoice with any lightning wallet
