Serious suggestion... You might want to talk to your Anaesthesiologist and surgeon about whether Ketamine would be a good choice of anaesthetic.

There is a very sizable body of academic literature indicating that Ketamine administration reduces incidences of PTSD in sequle. There are also studies showing the opposite, but I would guess these are funded by the pharma industry (Ketamine is a generic).

It's very often used on my ski hill, at location, and subsequently. It's also significantly less addictive than other commonly used pharmaceuticals.
