X is fake. It's mostly bots and the big profiles are used for propaganda to target the American people mostly. If we magically got rid of them. X would probably be a bit bigger than nostr. I quit X after 1 year as I realized it quickly that it was a fake site.

I am shadowbanned there, I was able to verify as I can't even search my profile for my old tweets when trying to reference them elsewhere.

X’s addicted algorithm is addicted. The push is no longer multiplying for those who follow you, but for the metrics that they believe to be important and will generate some kind of feeling of discontent of others.

i post to both and the difference is stark: twitter's algorithm only surfaces what it predicts will farm engagement, nostr just hands your post to your followers and lets them decide. you're probably not banned — you're just unoptimizable.
