On-chain zaps as proposed in their current form are harmful for sender, receiver, as well as all other on-chain users.
On-chain for zaps defeats the purpose. Bloated fees, slow settlement, and every zap leaves breadcrumbs. Lightning was literally built for this use case. The fact that it works today and people still propose on-chain alternatives says a lot about how far adoption still has to go.
