Sadly, there’s no chance of that occurring. Just think of the breakdown of America. The “conservative” half will likely not even hear about this story. The older set relies on Fox, which would have no interest in covering this story, and the younger “conservatives” who listen to pods or get their info from right-wing influencers will also not get this story or if they do, they likely will claim it was actually an errant Iranian missile or in the alternative dust of the ole human-shields defense.

Older Libtards might hear about the story via CNN, but even if they do, they will still run cover for the Neocons (see Maddow bending over backwards in the attempts of attributing every Middle East county (aside from Israel) as to why we are at war or Jon Stewart acting utterly confused as to why Iran fired on neighbors (not even bothering to mention our imperialist bases in the region).

Other things to consider: The number of people forced to work multiple jobs continues to rise. So, there’s a chunk of people who have no time to consume anything. Also, it’s also worth noting that over half of Americans read at a middle school level. So, the odds of an American doing a deep dive on geopolitical issues is highly unlikely. Lastly, more than half of Americans have an immediate family member in the services, so there’s another incentive to turn a blind eye.

It’s all fucked up.

The culture of me first, in a world that’s more selfish and less self-less, where can we think this leads.
