What makes you believe in cycle terms, still?
Being captured means the price also moves according to a script. Like any other fiat asset.
Why would btc/usd ratio be higher in two years?
Why would “t...
Because people operate in cycles. There’s a time when you need money for spending (exchange demand) and a time when you need money for saving (reserve demand). You see this in the Bitcoin cycle every 4 years: 3 years of exchange demand, after liquidity accumulates, and one year of reserve demand, when liquidity dries up. That’s why you stack sats mostly during bear markets and sell during bull markets.
Humanity has always operated like that under a sound money standard because it only makes sense to spend when you have the money and save when you don’t. Under fiat, it’s all spend and no save, because your money constantly leaks value. That’s why the business cycles are so messed up, especially since 2000, but even before that.
Do you think it’s a coincidence that we had the worst bull market in Bitcoin’s history exactly after fiat came into Bitcoin in full swing?
That’s why I think the cycle is inevitable, but it will look quite unimpressive from now on. People might just forget about it at some point.
