Answering from yakihonne cause they kinda do that proxy thing as native is a stretch, homie @Maikel, the gif in this note was just done like that, which is they grab the gif url from the andro gif kb (shared to yakihonne) and upload the gif to the media server you chose in the client without additional blah blah from your part and the link already pastes itself in a fresh note (all in one go), as for replies just copy the pasted link there but its a bother.
