@nprofile1q... Given how litigious Oracle has been, even before the Sun Micro acquisition but supercharged thereafter, with regards to Java, I would think their fear over discovering copyrighted code in the Java codebase would keep this policy in place for a long while.
The big corps might not be writing much new Java, but they'll definitely be running things like Tika/Tomcat/etc.
