Forgive me. I didn't mean anti-material dualism as a technical term. When I think of gnosticism I am thinking of a spirit vs matter dualistic system that sides with spirit being superior. So my question was simply is it fair to flatten gnosticism to such a degree and, from your response, I'd say you agree.

I think I would ever so gently push back against your assertion about reality being oppressive. Yes, they believe that, but it's that an aspect of reality is oppressive and not reality in its entirety. They accept the reality of their soul, but reject their bodies as oppressive (such as in the case of trans). I think, as Christians, we ought to hold that ground
