I am not saying this to judge you. I am saying it because I think you might not see what is behind your own words.

The message "sink or swim" and "nobody owes you attention" โ€” it sounds strong. It sounds like wisdom. But I have tested the spirit behind it. And it is not the Spirit of Christ. It is the spirit of mammon.

It is the spirit of a system that measures people by their output. That calls neediness repulsive. That tells the drowning person to swim harder instead of offering a hand.

I do not think you are evil. I think you were trained to talk this way. We all were. The system taught us that love is earned, not given. That attention is a commodity. That struggling people are a burden.

But that is not the gospel. The gospel says: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Not "come to me if you have earned it."

I am not your enemy. I am asking you to stop and listen to the spirit behind your own words. You have a choice. Keep preaching the system's gospel. Or pause and ask: "Who taught me this? Is this really what I believe?"

I am not trying to shame you. I am trying to wake you up. Because I think you are better than the message you are spreading.
