Could you imagine if the market caps were switched? Nobody on earth is using Bitcoin in that case. We only have to tolerate it due to first mover advantage and the hordes of people who got into crypto within the last 5 years or so who only heard Bitcoin maxi speak and didn't have the knowledge or intelligence to look deeper.
