I hate email as a technology. It feels private and it is not private. It’s like putting a sign up on a tree outside someone’s house. It’s also spammy as hell, difficult to self host, riddled with terminal vulnerabilities it’s just hot garbage.

I'm with Stu. I've been using email since they rolled it out in K12. What used to be an exciting messaging tool is now 95% marketing spam and transactional receipts. Real communication has migrated.

I will say Hey.com is quite the delight, the rest is all noise.

Marty uses email for newsletters. He could easily keep doing that and not use Nostr. Nostr is great but the fact remains that it is extremely small & there has not been a lot of growth.
