The only thing preventing #Bitcoin from becoming corrupted fiat money is the ability for plebs to run their own nodes.
Recently, I was concerned to learn that big banks are now approaching major Bitcoin miners to purchase directly from them instead of the market.
It seems likely that their next steps could involve acquiring mining operations themselves, which is worrying.
