Exclusive from Blast: The Prime Minister Has Planned a Social Media Shutdown for October 24

Two days before the October 24 demonstration, Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has asked Orange, SFR, Free, and Bouygues Telecom to prepare to block access to TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and X. Blast reveals the letter and the minutes of the meeting that followed, in which the operators expressed their concerns. The government had already used this freedom-restricting measure in New Caledonia in 2024, before being overruled by the Council of State.

Really? That's sad to hear. Is this from your own experience? I tested bitchat on a very small scale (which worked), never during mass deployment. Other similar projects exist though.
