I get it, but as a younger "Boomer" (62) I see the other side too. For example: My friend raised her step kids because their mom was a drug addict. She raised them as her own: PTA, sports, acting and at lessons parties, friends over evry weekend, food shelter ...the whole shebang. Her husband was a cop with quite a commute, so she was often a single mom whie she also worked in a demanding job and a very long commute. They arent perfect people, IMO they maybe worked and drank too much...Now her kids don't evenspeak to them because they voted for Trump. They offer to pay for airfare vacations - they subsidize the rent for the youngest...but they are kind of dicks (the kids), so they are enjoying their hard-earned retirement. There are a lot of ungrateful and privledged kids out there too.
