Chatgpt is almost unlimited, and only like 20USD a month. I tried the pay as you go but the money adds up too fast. Not worth it
I don't think they are making a profit. They probably make more money by selling peoples thoughts / conversations to government and corporations than they make from subscriptions. It's already enshitificated.
