This Saturday on my run around the city I saw a school named Norman Godinho. Well, Godinho is a typical Portuguese name so I decided to investigate a bit.
Found out that in the early 20th century, Norman Godinho was a prominent businessman in the then Protectorate of Uganda, originated from Goa, a Portuguese territory in India by then (weirdly enough the Indian army had to invade the Portuguese possessions as Portugal refused to integrate them into India after its independence from the UK).
And more Goans were important figures at that time according to an article I found.
