This is cool, but my ideal phone has LoRa mesh built in. Phones relaying for each other over raw LoRa, no carrier, no gateway, no infrastructure anyone can pull the plug on. Off grid and it still talks. Pair that with Nostr and you've got messaging that doesn't need the internet to exist.
