At this point the US is just the big thug walking around stealing people’s lunch money. Or maybe it’s for Protection, from the big bad thugs out there stealing people’s lunch money.
The US is panicking, they made all their bets in the military and now that its failing, they are desperately trying to piece together a workable plan for resources and knowledge through the remaining weapons they have. Heres the problem China knows and has informed the global south countries with the knowledge to produce goods and services that the US empire will implode without their help. So the question is for those well educated nations, would you prefer colonization or would you prefer wealth by just following your own nations development plan.
