As for how to proceed, it’s a difficult question. I for one, am a man of peace and want to bring people together. This BIP-110 war is causing divide and it’s a shame to see.
Whether it succeeds or fails, one question will remain: what is a sound and permanent solution to the topic at hand? To me, the energy behind this movement should be channeled into this question about the witness discount. This way, the larger community can investigate whether or not it’s a viable path forward.
We are also stuck between a rock and a hard place. We prefer to keep these discussion on nostr: the true agora.
However, most people are on X and that’s where ideas get more attention. Simultaneously, that place is dangerous due to the algorithm that can cause manipulation and control.
