@nprofile1q... The thing I like about Pandoc is it's so dirt simple. You know exactly what it's going to do. You can always insert manual HTML for the cleverer things. I'm tempted to just go ahead and use it and see if it fits my needs. I'd say there's an 80% chance it does.
