I can't really comment on the community at large. I've been around long enough to know a fair number of people here, but not enough to speak for everyone.

But the ROI argument makes a lot of sense to me. It's hard to onboard artists with decent followings if the economics don't make sense for them.

I'm still here despite that because I believe in what we're building. But the reality is that I make more from Spotify in a single day than I make from a month in the Valueverse.

Spotify deserves much of the criticism it gets, and I'd love to see the Valueverse become the go-to place for independent artists. Right now, though, at least from where I stand, the gap isn't closing. It's moving in the other direction.

If we want more artists to show up, we probably need to spend less time explaining why they should be here and more time making it financially obvious 🎸🎸🎸
