If there is one thing I do hope AI does is to kill all nostr libraries.. even our own Quartz.

There is too much dev desire to reuse central codebases. On the long run, those codebases become centralizing forces and forms of community control that go against the point of using Nostr in the first place.

Many have described this as part of the scenario leading to a sort of "sloppocalypse" .... AI's copying other AI's, making the standard 5% error rate, until it's "turtles all the way down" of sloppy, poorly documented and spec'd code. Don't (open-source) libraries at least allow some central, human...

But reusing code is also a form, to build trust towards less technical knowledged people. And it comes to some form of standardization, which can ensure some level of quality. Transparency is probably worth nothing, when everyone uses a totally different set of dependencies anyway. Security can al...

This is a wrong take. It takes a lot of effort to build good libraries, even when using AI. Letting loose random developers to use AI to do the protocol implementation of Nostr is a very bad idea. The libraries can be maintained by AI, but they need to be libraries, not randomly generated source in...

Right take but the wrong solution.
