The beta test of the new theme ‘Solidified’ by Saiwal (Utsukta-Themes) is still underway! This theme is a real game-changer that can easily counter many of the criticisms levelled at Hubzilla’s UX.
Beta testing means that bugs are identified through use and then fixed. I’m using it extensively myself and have already spotted quite a few issues. Saiwal has fixed them all at record-breaking speed – even whilst he’s still working on a number of features that are yet to be implemented.
Beta testing does not mean that your Hub is at risk. I’d already installed and activated it on my Hubs when it was still in ‘alpha’ and haven’t noticed any side effects whatsoever.
So here’s my appeal: if you’re running a Hub with Hubzilla version >= 11.0 and <= 12.0, why not consider installing and activating the theme? It would be helpful and extremely useful if as many users as possible gave it a go, so that any remaining bugs can be fixed quickly and feature requests can be taken into account where appropriate.

Today I had a look through Hubzilla’s list of Pubsites and the list of hubs on FediDB… currently, 11 of the hubs listed there offer the Solidified theme. There’s room for more! Get moving and help bring Hubzilla out of the shadows a bit more…
