Social media used to be good in the early days. I was among the first ones working on them professionaly. Then corporate greed + interest groups willing to manipulate public opinion + indignation mobs took over, and people retreated. Everybody is hiding. Nobody trusts nobody, and for a reason. Making friends has become rare. Most people who reached out to me via DM on X in the last couple of years were AIs trying to scam me... I came here to nostr because I believe social media should be a protocol, like email.
