I thought Joe Kent had a good hypothesis that Mossad might be forcing Trump to do their bidding by implicit or explicit threats towards his family.
Alternatively perhaps Jiang Xueqin might be on the right track with his recent suggestion that trump might appear stupid but could be taking a course of action that in the end leads to the US increasing it's overall power and position by making much of the world more dependant on them.
Either way, as someone outside the US, it's all bad.
