it's ridiculous to assert that ethnic affiliation isn't the default state. spend an afternoon walking around Manhattan, America has more different cultures living in it than anywhere and they *segregate themselves by preference.*
this happens all over the world.

and its absurd to think that ethnic affiliation is only violent when it "centers on whiteness."
"because slavery" lol. everybody throughout history had slaves.
slavery doesn't make *white ethnic affiliation violent because white people did it also.

ethnic affiliation is normal. good or bad, thats how people are.

you can argue that we should try to create some kind of homogeneous identity where ethnicity and culture doesn't matter.
but then shouldn't melanistic people also avoid ethnic affiliation?
that sounds like an unlikely and terribly boring timeline.
