He's so fake.

He's a middle aged trust fund kid. He never had to worry about money (according to his previous, pretentious rich guy persona).

His dad was CIA royalty - head of Voice of America. His dad may have been an upstanding patriot and heroic cold war warrior, but he was still a very high-level spook.

"I paid off my mortgage, that's why I can tell the truth now."

No, he changed his persona. Now, he tells many truths but distracts from or obfuscates the most important ones.

There's always a sneaky subtext agenda to his shows. The crypto privacy one was a good example - they avoided talking about any legitimate privacy tech solutions, aside from Signal (which doesn't have metadata privacy).

His show should be called "Limited Hangout with Tucker Carlson."
