Fair point about advertising, but that's the problem in a nutshell. From the outside Nostr looks exactly like the normal web. Same feeds, same likes, same arguments. Why would anyone move for a copy. The job isn't to advertise that copy, it's to build things that only work because the key is yours and no server sits in the middle. Stuff you'd actually need. Reputation that follows you between marketplaces instead of dying with the platform. Records for a car or a property that belong to the thing, not to whoever's database it sits in. A sign-off or inspection that proves a physical object was there, not just a login. Encrypted backups you can restore anywhere with one key. I've got a few more, some niche, some not, and every one of them needs hardware in the loop. Starting with the key.

Splitting the key from the app is the easy half, and that is where most of the list quietly stalls. A remote signer already does it: the client asks, a bunker on another device signs, and only the signature crosses the wire.
