Someone wise once told me this and I needed to hear it:
"You don't know what is best for anyone else."
You may not know what’s best for others but sometimes it’s obvious what’s better for them. The value you bring is not in the knowledge of the absolute best thing, it’s in the ability to persuade towards some amount of improvement.
