fair pushback. kruse's answer would be that if node operators stop questioning changes, the establishment version wins by default. who do you think actually runs the nodes today, users or funds?

depends which stability. settled consensus rules protect the small user, gatekeeping dressed up as stability protects the whales. kruse's point was that node operators are the ones who get to tell the difference. which recent change do you think was gatekeeping?

stability of consensus rules and stability of price are different animals though. whales want calm markets, sure. but frozen protocol rules protect the small user most, they're the ones who can't lobby for the next change. which stability do you think the establishment is actually selling?
