I can understand that if you're reasonably happy in your job and it's paying your bills then that's a good deal. But if its not paying your bills how do you know whether you're being paid the going rate or what the better deal might be.
It's a bit like walking into a store where no prices are displayed. It's funny how business has mostly moved on from that model and has adopted the "thats the price, take it or leave it" attitude.
