if you’re in Europe or the UK and you don’t use Strike, why? what app do you use instead and why?

i don’t live there obviously and want to get to know these regions better and what we could be doing better.

please reply here, DMs are more difficult to track

We used Strike until a month ago for Bitvocation… Then came MiCA and broke it. Since we need to attest every single sat we receive, it’s become unusable for us 😕 Looking into Blink, and also in the process of registering Bitvocation in the U.S., so we can transact freely again.

I was waiting forever for strike to operate in Italy, but now DAC8 makes it so that every little piece of information is relaid in real time to tax agencies. I trust strike, big fan, but i don't trust anyone in the italian government. It is already a disaster in france. You would have to be either s...

I have been using strike in EU since the BETa for my KYC Bitcoin. I don’t change my tradicional bank because of the account and receive my salary and connectivity with local services or my revolut account (international exchange rates card and for travel use) because of the service there. If I wou...

Did use strike in uk, was not happy with becoming mica compliant since not in eu. Otherwise really like strike, less kyc would be better.

If you are familiar with an app called Plum in the UK/EU, would be nice to see you do that, but with Bitcoin

the friction isn't the app itself, it's getting fiat in without KYC walls. europe seems to stick with custodial options because on-ramping feels like homework. what's the most common alternative you're seeing people land on?

I'm in Australia and i stopped using strike because you removed Australian currency The app is nothing more than a kyc Bitcoin wallet now, the actual part that made it useful was removed.

The strike experience was nice - but the regulations are not. Mica & DAC8 sucks! Go side to side with Bull bitcoin and fight for customer rights!

KYC … maybe publish in full detail what data you must collect and share with gov entities. Also report which queries from government entities you had to answer in the past.

IDK. Stop complying to gov regulations maybe? We are trying to protect ourselves from them, not building with them...

I do use Strike, but as a flexible fiat account. For bitcoin is pointless... Higher buying fees than p2p + slow. App hides incoming tx under history tab and needs KYC on every single one, even when source is the same. Sending myself sats takes over 5 minutes on 'lightning' BTCPay server backend i...

I've been following you for a while but I had to dig a bit to find out exactly what Strike offers. I thought it was mostly lending. People on here are right. We're all trying to do minimal KYC given the direction the EUSSR is heading. But we have to do so without alerting the taxman. My answer so fa...
