I actually really liked the remake for the updated combat but the endless nonsense side content they added really hampered the experience. I'm slightly hopeful that modders will someday take the finis...
There is very little I like about the remake tbh, they shat on the ff7 grognards immediately with the "These lame ghost things just want everything to be the same hurr durr". I'm likely never touching it.
