Merchants accepting Bitcoin via point-of-sale systems tied to central banks and the State (Stripe, Square, PayPal, Cashapp) may be offering you a convenience, but they're still creating taxable events...
Bottom line, you're not really "supporting" them if they/you want them to be free and untethered from the State. It's just making it worse (and putting a spotlight on them, as well).
