Nostr is an identity system.
You shouldn’t have one identity, you should have many. One for social, one for politics, one for gaming, one for your local sports club, one for your neighbourhood watch etc etc
People got so stuck on the idea that you can take your identity to any app that they missed the power of having many identities which can do that.
I’ve been use
@Clave - love it. I was halfway through vibecoding something very similar but have abandoned it for now because I reckon they’ve got the right model.
Once it’s easy to take different identities to different usecases, the usecases will proliferate. Instead we’ve had people scared of putting their nsec somewhere and getting their one presence wiped out which is the wrong model entirely and has held Nostr back.
You should have different nyms for different uses. Different relay sets for different nyms. Attaching to different apps.
All the stuff you use on the web will be rebuilt like this. Whether everyone else uses it is a different question, but it could easily grow into a proper parallel web where we’re not beholden to other people’s algos and insistence they own our data.
