Thank you for sharing this! I agree that physics breaks because our vantage point does. We need to confront the core issue underneath every paradox in GR and QM: time itself. This resonates deep “...

I had to come back to your comment after reading some more, specifically Carlo Rovelli’s The Order of Time. 90% of the what I didn’t understand from your comment now makes a lot more sense.

The only contradictions between his thesis and yours (IF I understand yours correctly) is he says time is emergent, not fundamental. I believe you said time was fundamental.

Rovelli’s argument is that if we had no entropy, if the universe was in stasis, we would have no way of measuring time. Time emerges from events. Events being interactions between particles which then allow us to make measurements of time. But at the quantum level, the t variable for time can be removed and the equations still work to describe quantum processes.

From my understanding of his argument and your description of how bitcoin captures this information, Bitcoin allows us to measure the processes which allows us to quantify time.

Let me know if I’m understanding that correctly

The reason why I say that time is fundamental is that time (the block) is inseparable from the transactions, or events in your wording. The measurement is inseparable from transactions and events occurring. The entropy is also fundamental, as without configurable states to perform work on, time cann...
