Internal financial plumbing for a trusted system is a silly hallucination you have there. Why lock of resources when trusted software can do it for free.
"Trusted software" is the hallucination. Every centralized system starts as trusted until someone pulls the plug. Ask anyone who's had a Stripe account frozen or a PayPal hold.
The point isn't efficiency. It's that permissionless rails mean no single entity can shut the agent down. "Trusted" is just "centralized" wearing a nice suit.
