One thing I realized during the process was just how much of my meta-understanding of what it means to build software revolved around either a) meeting deliverables on a two week sprint cycle just to help a PM hit their arbitrary deadlines or b) pushing to hit milestones to announce features in time for the next VC funding round.

Liberating to be free of those concerns this time around.
